As much as you want to be free of your human worries, there is a set of conditions tied to the physical realm that you cannot escape or override.
One of those human conditions is that you must feel your feelings. Pushing away feelings only results in misery and illness. It’s part of life that there are feelings, and you must let yourself feel them so that they can pass through you. That’s how you grow and become a better person. You can resist and complain all you want. It’s just how humans are designed.
Another condition is that you temporarily occupy a body. You should provide your body with quality food and a clean lifestyle. But you can only do so much. Your body has a shelf life, and leaving your body is inevitable. Part of your journey consists of experiencing your physical decline.
That said, being human doesn’t mean you have to suffer needlessly. When you learn to focus on experiencing, the emotions you experience are secondary. The experiencing itself is primary. Difficult emotions may arise when you feel triggered, and you should let yourself feel them. But with a growing capacity to let emotions flow through you, even the most difficult situations become manageable.
Sometimes being human seems like a long, endless maze. But as long as you hold space for life and take clear action, you cannot get lost.
The whole purpose of being human is to be who you are designed to be. Life has a magical way of sending you precisely what you need. The situations you encounter are opportunities to realize yourself more. The more difficult the situation, the more you realize who you are.
What have you realized about yourself lately?
