Nothing separates you from the greatness that you are, other than the resistance you create to it by judging yourself.
Judging is resisting. Every judgment creates resistance — even positive judgments. Making any value statement about anything, good or bad, breaks the connection with what’s in front of you. It creates a moment of separation between yourself and the reality in front of you. Because you judge almost uninterruptedly, all your judging adds up to a lot of separation. You are constantly distorting reality.
Your natural state is to not judge. Judging is resistance to life, and any resistance you introduce creates problems for you and those around you. You are resisting a force that continuously creates everything there is. It’s remarkable you even bother to go against it. You think you can bend the world to your will.
To stay in unfiltered reality, let yourself feel your feelings. If you resist, the feelings get stuck. The more you resist, the more they get stuck. Eventually, they turn into mental and/or physical illness.
It takes enormous effort to keep judging and maintaining the stories you filter everything that happens through. It is incredibly limiting to only experience yourself through your personal narrative. It’s remarkable you put so much energy into not being you when greater self-realization is just one less judgment away.
Your judging habit is aways on, distorting your vision of the reality in front of you. You’re too quick to react to circumstances because reacting is what you’ve done all your life. To experience the clarity of life, you have to connect with the clarity of life. Experience what is in front of you, and you can learn to drop your resistance and let life unfold as it unfolds. It does so, anyway, whether you resist it or not.
What do you resist?
